Spring Break in Myrtle Beach - Family Friendly

Hi all,

We are thinking of heading to Myrtle Beach for the first time the week of April 5 next year (spring break). Is this a family friendly time to go with small kids in tow? We want to avoid the college party scene experience. Or is there a section of the beach that might be better than another area? We own Wyndham points and would be interested in staying at one of those resorts.

Please avoid any bike week in Myrtle Beach. There are thousand and thousands of motor bike in Myrtle Beach that week.

Bike weeks are in May around Mother's Day and then Memorial Day wknd. April should be fine and the weather is perfect.

Late October is also bike week.

I go to Myrtle with my 4 kids every year for Spring Break, its definately a family destination at that time of year. They week you noted is a good week to go. Enjoy...

Surfside beach should be a good family spot. It's just a little south of Myrtle.

Myrtle is a great family location year round, but more so between April and October. It's questionable, but there could definitely be beach weather during that time. Not water weather, but beach weather. It will be busy there as it is also the peak of golf season as well as spring break.

Spring Break in Myrtle Beach

We went to Myrtle Beach for a few days this past Spring Break with another family. There were lots of families and lots to do. We stayed at Dunes Village which has an indoor water park and we all had a wonderful times. There are many minature golf places and go cart places there too. Usually, bike week is in May.

Thanks for the insights. Sounds like a good time to go. We are happy to hit the beach in summer in NJ so some nice pools will be more than acceptable along with walks/sand play at the beach. Dunes Village with an indoor waterpark does look wonderful. I was checking it out, but we are not in points so that option I believe is out.
