I have som extra time in San Francisco, and with the threads on airbnb I thought I'd try it out, as its only a few nights, so relatively low risk.
However, it appears they won't list without a tax number from the city. I have no problem paying a fee and filling out a form, but it looks like one of the requirements is to have it as your permanent residence, which if course my timeshare isn't.
But I can't square that with the many other listings in San Francisco for timeshares I see on airbnb. I'd appreciate hearing how others made this work, either in the thread or by PM. I'm not looking to go crazy with this, but did want to try it out if I can.
