I am assuming there is not much I can do with 7900 Star Options that expire at the end of 2015?? Can they be donated to a charity? Thanks.

Already banked?

Can't be swapped for some 2105 options that can be banked?

If they are actually 2015 Staroptions, you can roll them over to 2016, until the end of June, for a $99 fee. (Less for Elite owners.)

Do you mean banked Staroptions that expire in 2015?

I believe if they are 2015 StarOptions and are banked, they will last for 2 more years, through December 31, 2017. I banked my remaining StarOptions recently and that's what I believe the life span was.

Best,

Greg

I'm taking the OPer at her word that these SOs are going to expire on 12/31/15. Have some myself.

7900 SOs is good for a nightly stay in most SVO locations, sometimes for a studio and other times for a 2 bdrm villa. If you know of anyone (a friend, a relative, a Tugger) who's traveling to one of the timeshare destinations (e.g. Maui, Orlando, Phoenix), you can offer to check to see if you can book a villa for them for one night if they pay the housekeeping charge.

A few years ago, I recall someone collecting remaining SOs for charity, but I don't recall that happening this past year.

Carolyn - Are you saying that these are Staroptions from 2013, or 2014, that you ALREADY banked with Starwood, or are they 2015 Staroptions from your 2015 usage?

Denise, in MSC, banked SOs are marked by their expiration date. When Carolyn says that they are going to expire at the end of this year, it means that she banked them 2 years ago and they are going to expire on 12/31/15.

I have 30,000+ SOs that are due to expire on 12/31/15, so I know the dilemma she is facing. There's no way to bank them again, so you either have to use them or lose them.
