I am going to rent a few nights from Marritt directly to tack onto a vaction. The cheapest room is a Island View Guest Room in the Napili/Lahaina Towers. Would one be better than the other?

I'm here now and I although I'm staying at the original, I've checked out both new towers, and the only difference that I could see is one, the Lahaina Tower is right next to the self parking garage.

Please also consider that Napili is on the north-side, ie closer to Whalers Village -- Lahaina is south of the property and a longer walk.

Good luck!

Isn't there a self parking garage at the Napili tower also (I know it's smaller)? Last trip we parked there. Did they make that one all valet?

Napili garage comments

Bob,

The Napili tower does have a small parking garage but about 40% of it is reserved for valet and it is always full. We stayed for 2 weeks and were able to park about 4 nights in the Napili garage.

Bottom line is there is not enoguh parking in the Napili garage for all Napili residents so count on walking from the main garage by the Lahaina tower most of the time...unless you go valet parking!

I was there two weeks ago. To me you might have a better peek at the ocean in the Lahain Island Views. I dont recall seeing units facing out the back. However in the Napili tower they definately have units that face directly to the mountains with no view whatsoever of the ocean.

The parking at the Napili tower is useless. I have never seen parking spaces to small and tough to manuever in and out of...that lot has the potential for lots of accidents just from pulling in and out of your space. I parked their once and that was enough...

It sure seems to me that most of the parking spaces throughout Hawaii are small. Next time I will rent the smallest car I can find...do yourself a favor and consider this...

I did decide to rent the smallest car- even though a bigger one was only a few dollars more for the week. I was considering which tower might have better views from the Island View rooms and it sounds like the Lahaina Towers

I've stayed in both towers and prefer the location of Napili. However if you have an island view room I would definitely try to get the Lahaina tower. We were in an island view there (facing the Hyatt) on the 5th floor and could see the ocean through the trees from the balcony. It was a great room, quiet with a nice view of the mountains and the water.
