I am beginning to consider how ts deeds that won't sell in some markets might very well sell in others, and how to use that info effectively. It just seems natural to me that in general, a VT ski week would be more attractive to a resident of Boston than would a Park City ski week, and that the VT ski week owner would do very well to target their marketing efforts accordingly. while the web mitigates some of that, local advertising still is important.

I think you are right on the money ....buy low and sell high...

Another example, Wyndham is more attractive to us on the east coast, Worldmark to those on the west

Ive read posts here on Tug by guys buying on ebay and selling on Redweek

The strategy I like best is asset stripping...buy a week where the mf has been paid and the current years usage transfers to the buyer.. The buyer rents the week to bring in some money and re sells the week with the first use next year

The PCC's have this down to a science..They get paid to take a week from folks that dont know a secondary market exists at all, and then they use the internet to find people like me to give it to.
