To the OP:
The going rate for Worldmark points on the resale market is 0.30/credit so your 6000 account is worth $1800 (depending on specifics). Many timeshares have to be given away, but Worldmark is one of the few that still has value; don't sell yourself short.

There is a forum of and by Worldmark owners at www.wmowners.com/forum that can help you out with your options. They also have participants who are resale dealers if you prefer not to sell them yourself.

Here's the link to the section on memberships for sale:
http://www.wmowners.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=71 Scroll down to check out what others have sold their accounts for.

You absolutely do NOT have to give away a WorldMark account that is paid off. You can sell it very quickly. Please follow the links in Sue's post above.

Good Luck.

Sue

Thank you for the information. This timeshare is from a past relationship and the maintenance dues only serve as a monthly reminder of that betrayal, so really I am just looking to offload it at this point.

Kaze01, I know you want to just get rid of it, but even the brokers will buy it from you. You'd probably be able to sell this to a broker in 24hours and get yourself $1500.
