Has anyone been to this resort? We have had a search in for over a month with RCI, 5 "matches" so far that are not matches, just about every resort within 200 miles of it. We need a ground level unit since steps are not in hubby's best interest. The resort tells us they have a rental for over $1000, but I hate to rent when we own enough weeks and have lots of tpu's. I don't want to make a special trip when we will be in the mountains of NC the previous week till 8-16. My question is whether this is a tough trade and should we go ahead and rent or find alternative plans for our second week. And is it a nice resort?

We have been there two times. The units are very nice. There is a handicap unit. We are not golfers so being on the course is not a plus. You are near Harrah's Casino in Cherokee, Ashville, the drive through the parkway is nice, an hour from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge for Dollywood. We would go again.

Thanks for the reminder of the name of the timeshare in Maggie valley. We drove through there a few weeks ago coming back from Harrahs Cherokee. I couldn't think of the timeshare.

Here is the info on tripadvisor: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Re...-Peppertree-Maggie_Valley_North_Carolina.html

Most of it is dated, but it might be helpful to you. Also, are there any TUG reviews available here?

There is a Tug's Resort Database review of this resort dated Sept 2013. Good luck...

we went there in the fall of 99 and had a great time, but I don't think you want 14 year old information
