New Scam?

Hi, is there a new scam coming along? Twice within 15 minutes I got a call from a 'law firm' trying to help me recover any money I may have lost through timeshare scams. I am wondering if this is legit. Thanks.

Nope - just the newest flavor of TS scam!

BTW - they really aren't lawyers or law firms, and many of them have already been shut down for practicing law without a license...

There's always someone banking on a person who might have made one bad decision making another one. Think about this, how many law firms are out there making cold calls on the phone to drum up business?

Its actually Illegal per the Florida bar to use cold calls to create addtional business for law firms and licensed attorneys risk losing their license to practice law if caught. Many of these companies are simply outsourcing the calls overseas to contact the many victims however the vast majority of time no such attorney or firm exists. There are companies that do in fact help recover fee's from unscrupulous resellers however most either charge an astronomical percentage on the back end and use the provisional credits issued from a credit card dispute to cover their fee's or they are simply a reseller in disguise and out for more blood.

There are companies that do help, however any company that offers to provide assistance in recovery make sure that they company is able and willing to provide actual testimonials from customers who have used the services and have seen results. Recently in the State of Florida a new law came about making false testimonials a crime. Its always easy for a company to create one, however get a real name, a real address and real story. They are out there...
