So I am a new owner with my points being available within the next month or so. Once available I want to book a week at Bonnet Ceek (my home resort) in early November. In everyone's experience, is this considered too late to book or not much of a problem? Thanks for any information!

Home resort status only matters in the ARP 10-13 month booking window. You don't get any special access or availability inside 10 months, unless you are a Presidential Reserve owner.

If you are trying to book Thanksgiving, it's way too late. Other times in November should be okay, though, depending on unit type.

November is only 6 months away and Wyndham Bonnet Creek is the first of the 5 Wyndham resorts in Orlando to fill up. We made our Wyn BC "back up" reservation for November about two months ago, so we'll have something great even if our OGS into DVC doesn't match through RCI. Two months ago, there was still wide open inventory up to 3BRs at Wyn BC in Oct/Nov (except more limited over Thanksgiving). Since then, Wyndham included Bonnet Creek in their bulk deposits to RCI and there's much less availability of Wyndham points reservations now at Wyn BC.

On the up side, if you are not initially able to secure your desired travel dates, do keep checking back for at least a few weeks. It's a large resort and may have cancellations appear through the days. Meanwhile, consider your 2nd choice options for this trip... either choosing another resort, different dates, or seek an exchange through RCI.

In your first year of ownership, you don't have enough advance planning time to take full advantage of your ARP at your home resort. That will come in handy for holiday stays in larger units in the future. Hope this helps.

Availability NOW means nothing, of course, but there is a 2BR available for 7 nights with 11/12 checkin. Nothing earlier. There is also limited availability at Reunion (3 BR) around the same time.

The picture might change if you are looking for a shorter stay, but the only availability that really matters is what's there when you get full access to your account.

Good luck.
