If one were to try to rent out their Timeshare for New Years "week" (this upcoming New Years Eve), would you think that a Friday-Friday (Dec. 30th check-in) would have more odds of being rented out vs. a Sat-Saturday?

Thanks!

Saturday is the most popular travel date. with a Friday check-in, the renter has to take 6 days off from work.

Not really, at least if they get federal holidays off. Having New Year's day off would still mean 5 days of vacation time. Though Saturday would only mean 4 days of missed work.

On the other hand a lot of folks get a day off for New Years Day so they are back to only using 5 days of vacation and depending on the location, they may want to get there the day before new years eve. There are others that have off the week between Christmas and NY anyway so in this case I would think the Fri-Fri would be equally popular although I agree normally Saturday-Saturday is the most popular check in day.

This year, I reserved a Fri.-Fri. because it allows a check-in one day before New Year's Eve, plus I would imagine most schools have both Christmas and NY week off. Also, airfare (or mileage points) should be less expensive on a Friday vs. a Sat.

Most often, however, I get a Sat. check-in.

Same with XMAS eve. We are renting at a resort and we are checking in that Friday before XMAS eve.
