We're going to Pawley's June 28 thru July 5. Can folks recommend some good places to eat? Our preference is to probably shy away from the real fancy places - we'll have kids 3, 6, 8 and 10. Any really good food (Mexican, Italian, etc) will do, but we would really like great seafood. Anything with local atmosphere works very well. Not looking for chains such as Damons, Cracker Barrel, etc - I know what we're getting there. Looking for local or regional places.

Thanks in advance.

If you'd like good seafood, "low country cooking," go to Louis'. Louis Osteen is a great restaurateur, and his food is wonderful. He has two restaurants in Las Vegas, and we love them (they are in Town Square). My husband interviewed him for a television show, and he's a heck of a nice guy, in addition to having a wonderful menu. You can look at the menus here: http://www.louisatpawleys.com/

You can also drive up to M B to eat . The kids may like some of the things to do there.

That is, unless he is in Las Vegas at one of his restaurants there, which he has been every time we've been there (maybe because they are still new).
