My SVR week is a resale week, so I have to use II due to no SO obviously. We have family in Phoenix and want to go a separate (second) week from my existing other WKV ownership. What's the chance my SVR week could fill a Starwood-to-Starwood pref. OGS put in now into II and trade into WKV for Memorial Day week 2016? I know it's hot in Scottsdale and technically a Gold Plus season. The dry heat does not bother us at all but I would think demand should be low and this shouldn't be a problem. We could go to WKV any week of the year, we love the place. I love being able to use my WKV home resort to book in SVN but II is different obviously.

Memorial Day week should be an easy Interval trade into Kierland (because you have the Starwood preference). Put your request in soon.

You can probably get a Getaway for that week which would be a lot cheaper. The only problem is that the Getaways probably won't show up until just a few months in advance of your proposed trip.

The good news is that you have two very viable options.

I do have my OGS in so hopefully I get it!! We are just slightly more than a year away. I'm just hoping something shows up and I get a fill or SW does a bulk deposit. It would actually be a good trade. My MF for SVR are less than the MF for WKV. I'm essentially trading up.

With advanced planning, it's REALLY REALLY cheap to fly down there from where we are (usually $100-$150 pp RT, sometimes less than $100 pp RT). Having family down there we are hoping to go. It's a great resort regardless of the season. However with that said, due to air fares required, it makes planning with II Getaways nearly impossible. It's better to use II exchange or SVN for my owned week.
