We are going in May ~ firsrt visit. Does anyone have a layout of the resort? Which Bldg. or floor to ask for? I know nothing is guaranteed but no harm in asking, right? Any help would be very appreciated.
I prefer a quiet location, so I'd ask for the top floor and a golf course view.
Sometimes, Starwood resorts won't accept a request on a II exchange until check-in, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
If this is a Starwood reservation, you should call Owner Services and add the request to your reservation notes ASAP, and then remind them at check-in.
Ditto to what Denise said. You'll want a golf course view on a high floor in buildings 3, 5, 6 or 7. See map attachment. The fairway opposite buildings 3 & 5 are a great view and an awesome hole to play too. We actually stayed in building 1 last time above the lobby with a view toward the adult pool and had zero problem with noise or location. It was actually convenient to the amenities downstairs.
This is a great resort with lots to do. You also get access to the hotel amenities next door such as the lazy river and larger pool. We love owning there and go back each year.
Was just there two weeks ago. Bldg. 3 is the most desired bldg. as it is right above the main pool and 100' from the adult pool and extremely close to the main bldg and parking. As has been mentioned top floor has amazing mountain views.
I also prefer the buildings with the golf course view just for the quiet, not that the place gets crazy anyway. Building 7 has been our usual stay. I have heard that some balconies face the hot sun more than others but I can't remember which. Maybe someone can chime in.
While there do get over to the resort for the lazy river, restaurants and such. It is a very easy walk.

Building 7 has my vote for quiet and view too. It is also a newer building. It is separated by a parking lot for those with young children to consider as a negative.
This is a tough one for me. I love Kierland but I think the AC's are on the roofs, therefore in some top floor units you have to listen to them all night. I usually request a floor other than top or 1st. Building 2, 3 or 4.
