There's a great new funny book on the Tiki culture by Jeff Berry. (available from Amazon). He's found the recipes for many 1930-1960 tropical cocktails. There was a New York Times article on the book last week. Lot's of laughs and interesting information

The Sleeping Giant Cocktail ( from Lagoon Cocktail Terrace of the Coco Palms Resort Kauai)

1 1/2 ounces orange juice
1 1/2 ounces unsweetened pineapple juice
1 1/2 ounces light rum
1/2 ounce sweet and sour
1/4 ounce orgeat syrup

Shake well with lots of crushed ice. Pour into a tall glass. Add ice cubes to fill. Garnish with a mint sprig and a cocktail cherry. :whoopie:

Named after you know what.
