We recently purchases a few wyndham resales. 3 for places we wanted ARP and one just To have extra points to exchange through RCI. That one we we wanted to exchange through RCI my boyfriend bought without me looking into it too much. The points were just deposited in our Wyndham account and I realized they are fixed week converted to points. The other 3 are UDI. Am I correct that the only drawback to the fixed week converted to points is if we wanted to use it for ARP, it would only be for the original fixed week? Will the points work the same as other points at the ten-month window through the Wyndham system ? Also, will they work the same as our other points through RCI?

Thanks so much.

You understand it perfectly.

Some of my best ratio of MF to points is with my Prime converted fixed week ... same HOA MFs as the lowest of low point generators .. $3.89 per 1K of points plust the CWP fee (either .55 or .57 for a member number) ... or $4.46 per 1K.

There is one other difference. Converted weeks pay (estimated) MFs in the year *prior* to use, and UDI's pay MFs in the year *of* use. This is because fixed weeks that are unconverted bill annually at the beginning of the year. Most people don't realize this, and if you bought resale, you probably did not end up reimbursing anything, but probably should have.

And, Linda is right. Converted fixed weeks can generate either the very best or very worst $/K ratios in the system.

Agree

I have one that is 3.53/K before program fees, so 4.10/K including all program fees (my are 0.57/K as I have all the extras in there). It is a high point value.

I also have one that is 8.81/K. Thankfully it is a low point value.
