New Bern NC

Back in the late 1980's Fairfield built what was considered at the time to be one of the premier timeshare complexes in the State of North Carolina. It is was built on the shores of the Neuse River and was and is still known as Fairfield Harbor. The Harbor itself is one of the largest if not the largest Harbor on thenbuilt a brand new resort at New Bern, NC.

The different phases of the resort were given different names.

When Fairfield became Wyndham at least one of the Resort Associations retained Wyndham as it's manager; but others went with Vacation Resorts International as their resort management company.

The resorts known to have gone with VRI are as follows:

Harbourside II
Sandcastle Village II
Sandcastle Cove
Waterwood Townhomes

No doubt all of the above resorts have undergone extensive renovations over the years.

To get some idea of which have had more recent renovations contact:

In the late 80's Fairfield Sandcastle Village II was an awesome resort. They built the Sandcastle Village resort around a man made lake. The down stairs area was huge with the dining area over looking the man made lake. On site amenities were a golf course, tennis court, a putt-putt course, a picnic area, a small playground for the children, paddle boats, a fish pier and a marina.
