I've never rented a room to anyone but a family member so excuse my ignorance. I booked a room for a relative in [Hawaii - week 48] They cancelled and I posted an ad to rent it. Is this a good week to rent?

I'm concerned because as we approach end of year I don't want to be stuck with those points should I cancel.

Unfortunately, fall is the slowest time of the year for travel. The highest demand for Hawaii is Christmas and NY, Feb. through April, mid-June through mid-Aug.

Nov. 30 is week 48 -

I booked a room for a relative in [details deleted to comply with no-advertising rule] They cancelled and I posted an ad to rent it.

MOD request: instead of deleting every single detail that could be considered "advertising", can you just take out the identifying info (i.e., resort name and price)?

The week and general location (Hawaii or Orlando) should remain. These two data points are central to this entire thread (and threads like it)! Otherwise we have no idea what the question is.

Hey Denise,
Cool. For some reason I interpreted NY as New York vice New Years which led me to think it was a generic response! :)

If you (or similar post) capture the info right after the OP, that works. If buried a few posts later, perhaps my suggestion to consider leaving "innocent" data points in the OP might be helpful. I'm guessing a MOD can't insert a post into the sequence, or can you?

BTW, keep up the good work! ;)

Bit surprised to see the only week below 100% is thanksgiving. Bit surprised it is Thanksgiving, and not just September itself.

Thanksgiving is a week later in November than usual this year, and I don't know if II modified their calendar to reflect that.

In November and December, many people are focusing, and spending their money, on Thanksgiving and Christmas, and that hurts demand, also.

interesting and useful graph. That's from II? I wonder if RCI or Wyndham have anything similar?

Yep - I've never seen anything like it, anywhere else.
