My wife wanted to start making travel arrangements for Puerto Rico after finding out the system allowed us to book Margaritaville as non vip members. So instead of taking a chance I called owner care this morning l. I told them I didn't want to get all the way there and be denied. She put me on a hold and stated that because the website is allowing you to book, we are 100% honoring those reservations. The great part was that prior to New Years day there was a 25% discount on any reservation I booked at the Rio Mar Margaritaville.

Wyndham sales weasels may say certain locations are for VIP's only, but that's one of their lying sales pitches to get a 'mark' buy VIP points level. If something shows up online and you book it, and receive a confirmation then it's yours.

Its not just Wyndham sales that claims the margaritaville are VIP only for non-margaritaville owners. Every press release and the current Wyndham book says so as well. I suspect that them showing up for non-vip's is not an accident, but is a way to fill empty inventory.

Or they know once you get there they can try to get you into a sales pitch to "upgrade"

You're probably right. There are plenty of available studio and studio deluxe units available from mid-January through April 2016. The presidential units, however, are vary scarce. I've only seen a couple partial weeks for the larger units. They likely are not getting the reservations that they expected.

It takes time for people to book up a new resort.

Yes, the Margaritaville brand is licensed to Wyndham.

Wyndham has licensed Margaritaville to use for the Margaritaville Vacation Club.

There are other groups that have licensed the name for hotels. Hollywood Beach is licensed to Coral Hospitality Partners, Pensacola is licensed by Little Sabine Inc., and I'm not sure about Bossier City.

Thanks for the clarification. Yes, I meant for VC.

To clarify, I meant that it seems Wyndham has nothing to do with the Hollywood Beach property. It is going to be operated by Coral Hospitality Group.
