I can't find this, but it must be stated somewhere....

When looking at the point values, they are shown by weeks. What day does the week # start on? Friday, Saturday or Sunday?

Thanks in advance.

You may run into a situation when you are booking online where the seemingly identical type unit has two point values for the same day. This can be an instance where the days fall into different seasons because they have different start days.

With Wyndham points, week numbers don't really come into play. (For the most part. Unless you have a converted fixed unit.) You can check in any day you want based on availability. At some resorts in prime time you can only check in certain days.

For example, I have checked into resorts on Tues, Wednesday, Sunday and Monday. The problem with this is, except for Sunday check in) it is usually counted as a split reservation and technically two reservations. You will be charged an HK (housekeeping credit) for each reservation. Also they tell you on making the split reservation that you may have to move into a different unit. I have done this several times and not had to move. It really depends how full the resort is.

I have a 10 day trip planned that is broken into two 5 day reservations. I'm hoping I don't have to move, but we will see.

Thanks.

I was thinking of this for booking purposes, for when the week is changing from, for example, a prime to high season. I wasn't sure which day the change happened.

Sounds like 'it depends'

It depends ... a resort where the underlying original deeds sold were with checkin of either FRI and SAT with some (meaning, a few) having Sunday checkin. Then check in routines were developed as to WHOLE buildings or floor having the turnover day being just once a week.

The Wyndham points system OVERLAID the older fixed deeded weeks system but the OLDER operations, still run using a FRI/SAT/SUN check in routine. Plus, the CHANGE of point values happen on the original FRI/SAT/SUN dates .. usually with FRI determining the WEEK NUMBER.

And that is WHY most resorts, still use a FIXED WEEK calendar system - planning and scheduling.

I know several resorts are more of a total points system with checkin days ANY day -- Bonnet Creek comes to mind.

But only DVC seems to run on an any length and any checkin day of the week.

And I believe Wyndham allows only a 7 night booking on their computer system - as that is how they charge HKs. ;)

Like in some years, Christmas is one week, some years, another. Some years have 53 weeks. Any 'fixed' date can and will be on different weeks in different years.
