How is PBR doing now? Did the beach erode at all? We are in Puerto Vallarta right now where there was no hurricane direct hit and the beaches are diminished. Wondering about Cabo and Pueblo Bonito Rose, as friends are traveling there soon. Thank you.

The Pueblo Bonito Facebook page has some pictures of the Rose and the beach if you scroll down a bit. Looks like things are getting back to normal.:)

Beaches can come and go

After the previous tropical storm in Cabo many of the beaches had much more sand than before the storm. The wave action can work both ways. Along the rock formations from the Marina area to Lands End there were sand beaches where there hadn't been any in a long time. Instead of having to take a water taxi to Lover's Beach, you could walk along the "new" beaches out to Lover's. Wave action later removed this sand. After storms like this where the sand is built up, the famous "Sand Falls" can really get going and it is something to be diving the North Wall and watch a "waterfall" of sand. After the last tropical storm I got some video of the Sand Falls showing the sand sliding down the steep incline then going into a free fall, just like a waterfall, into the depths.
