Can't tell you how great it is - bright sunshine makes for great daytime weather in the mid to high 80's with nights about 70, and the ocean water still in the 80's as well. Crowds gone so long lines are gone, too; widest stretch of beach along the entire grand strand, shag weekend coming up in Ocean Drive. Walking on the beach today I was thinking how So Cal has nothing to rival it - at least for six months of the year (I know many will scoff but hey, just calling it the way I see it). I'm guessing I'll keep coming back every September, even after I move back west next month. Thanks for letting me rave.

I am checking in to Wyndham Ocean Blvd. on Sunday. Thanks for posting, makes me look forward to Sunday even more than I have been.

Anything you recommend as a "must do" while we are there?

Thanks,
John

You lucky guys will be there for SOS!! That's the big shag festival they have twice a year. Walk main street and enjoy the music. Some of my favs are the Greg Wollard Band, Band of Oz, Coastline Band, but any are good. Get you a beach music CD for a souvenier . Try a pizza at Giorgios on main st, home cooking at lunch at Hoskins. Go get some seafood at Calabash and relax on the beautiful beach.

Yup!! Once again, many thanks, George - the best 'non-family' gift I ever got, and I will make it a family gift in the end, by giving it to my son when the time comes...

I am in MB as I type this and it is gorgeous! Days in the 90's and evenings in low 8o's with no humidity. It's perfect! Been here since Sunday(9-8-13) and not a drop of rain the entire time. Staying at the Sheraton Broadway Plantation on a trade and it is wonderful. I would recommend it to anyone. I will do a complete review next week when I return home.

Shaggers, shaggers everywhere, with far too much to drink!" - Since this is a sea town I thought a knock off of the Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner would be an appropriate way to talk about the colorful, almost non-stop procession of shag enthusiasts going to the Shag clubs on Ocean Drive. Ron Parise should think about adding NMB during Fall Migration to his list of destinations for providing rentals (through the Wyndham Ocean Drive property).

We'll be there in October

I hope there is still some nice weather left when we get to Wyndham Ocean Blvd next month. Also hope they haven't shut down to many things. I'm not too familiar with the area but where ever we go, we try to "tough it out" (LOL).

Might be a bit cool for the beach, however, we go to just "get away" and are hoping to see some "leaf color" either here or Apple Mountain the following week.

Glad you are having a blast. It is amazing how many shaggers are there. Don't forget to buy you a great shagging cd. I would recommend a compilation type cd so you get several bands.

If Greg Wollard is playing go check him out.
