We are looking to go to Nassau through RCI...is the exchange fee the fee we pay for the week's stay? I believe it's $179 if I book it online myself. So is that $179 what we pay to stay at that resort for the week?

TIA

Welcome! Yup, and whatever maintenance fee you paid for the week you are exchanging, for 7 nights.

If you exchanging with RCI the exchange fee covers the trade. The resort may have additional fees, and of course there your annual maintenance fee for your week.

Combining Weeks Fee - maybe

Welcome,

If you don't have enough trading value for the week you want to exchange into, you could also pay an additional $99.00 to combine two or more weeks for enough trading power to get the desired week. In this case scenario.

$179. exchange fee
$99. combining weeks fee (if needed)
$?. annual maintenance fee

Others have answered your question, but I just want to say Welcome to TUG! Before long, you will be addicted to this site and the more you use it, the more you will learn about timesharing and lots of other stuff.

Timesharing is a wonderful way to go to great places. We have made many great exchanges using RCI since 1991 and now tend to go to our home resorts more than we exchange. We have sold our original timeshares and now own where we want to go, so do not exchange as much, but it is still an option and we do it every other year or so.

Have fun on your anniversary trip!
