Hi,

For those of you who are fed up with the management at Rancho Banditos in Puerto Vallarta, I just spoke with Rita Rodriguez in assessment and she offered me a cancellation fee of 2 x annual maintenance fee + $500. I know this may seem like a lot and I am weighing all of my options before I accept. One of my options is to pay half of this amount to someone who is willing to take over the contract. I'm not sure if they would benefit from it, but it is worth a try. Another option is to walk away; this has been debated quite a few times on TUG and doesn't seem to be too popular amongst responsible owners. Please give me feedback as I welcome it.

P.S. Please forgive me if I posted in the wrong place as I am a newbie

Who owns Rancho Banderas?
Was this previously Fairmont now Northwynd?

If it's Northwynd, I wouldn't trust anything they say or do......

Apparently, they've changed again, and now they are Marival Group. You are absolutely correct about not being able to trust them, which is why I am so ready to move on. Just recently, they are trying to blow smoke up my crack by telling me that the new owner has to pay 2 years maintenance fees in order to transfer. When did this come up? Well, after they offered me the $2300 cancellation fee that's when they decided to inform me about the 2 years requirements. I ask for this in writing, but as of yet I haven't gotten a response. Just been advised that this is not in writing and they are adding this to the new policy. As it figured, it stunk the moment I heard it.
