Hi-

We're going back to Sea Pines next March and while we are pulling some great Marriott resorts outside of Sea Pines, we LOVE staying in Sea Pines. lLast year we were booked for Swallowtail, but ended up in a Harbortown unit b/c there was an issue with the Swallowtail unit.

We have the option of booking Swallowtail or Spicebush- which do you recommend? It will be me, DH, our 3 year old, and possibly my parents. I'm leaning towards Swallowtail since it is closer to Harbortown and the playground there, as well as bike trail access. Are the units in one resort larger than another? More upgrades in one over another?

Spicebusch is closer in walking distance to the Monarch and to the Atlantic Beach. Plus, if you want total R&R and peace than I will select Spicebusch. Spicebusch units are tri-level and Sallowtail are two levels villas. However, Swallowtail is closer and in walking distnce to Harbour Town, a children play park, five tennis courts, a small shopping center, the gas station and some fine on-site restaurants. Also a PGA golf course.

You have a tough choice.

Being a Swallowtail owner, I am prejudiced, but I would suggest Swallowtail for the convenience to Sea Pines Center and Harbour Town and only one flight of stairs. I also believe that the units there are larger. However, Spicebush is closer to the beach.

Thanks all- while I like the idea of being closer to the beach, and 3 levels, I went ahead and booked Swallowtail. We will be there in Feb/March, so the beach is not as much of a draw, but the playgrounds, shops, etc. being so close by is a nice bonus. I also remembered that we started a little tradition with our son- walking over to Harbortown for ice cream in the evenings. Thank you for your input!
