So we, essentially, dodged the bullet. Obviously that is a benefit, but hard to get ecstatic when the best thing that can be said is that it could have been worse.
Any suggestions for how to best access the Wyndham properties or is it still a matter of calling the Shell desk?

If Shell Vacations Club had ceased to exist, members would have been left with deeded weeks only, at the resorts and weeks to which their contracts were deeded. They may not even know where their contract is deeded, and it may not even be at the resort where they bought the deed (but it would be within the same Club).
If you see no noticeable benefit in preventing dissolution of the clubs, then consider this: An Americana club member told me that at the first annual owners' meeting after Wyndham had just taken over, they learned that Shell had managed that club into a $3M deficit. That's not a deficit Shell had owed, it is a deficit that members owed under Shell's management. Wyndham has been whittling the deficit downward over the years without Special Assessments. As a Hawaii Club owner, I do understand that this does not directly benefit you.
