I have 700 points leftover this year. Is it worth it to pay to rescue them, or should I just let them expire?

700 points could get you 1 extra night (depending on the unit cost/day).
To me, an extra night is worth the $84 fee.

I have 300 points left... about 1/2 of 1 night in Orlando. I plan to let 'em go.

I definitely would, just for the extra flexibility it would give me in a following year. It would really suck to be a few hundred points short for a future reservation.

Only save them if you have plans to use them and all your 2017 points in 2017.. otherwise you will keep digging yourself into a perpetual hole.

A week night during platinum season is only 220 points. Therefore, you can get about 3 nights during platinum season. A week night is only 170 points during gold season so that you could get 4 nights. Of course weekend nights require double the points so that would be 1.5 nights platinum or 2 night gold.

I think that saving the 700 points is certainly worth it if you stay in a studio.

Thanks for the input everyone! I am convinced that it's worth it to rescue these points. :)
