Hi all,

I will be headed to Atlantic City on Wednesday night for a "long weekend" and staying at the Wyndham Skyline Tower. I have never stayed there, nor do I know the area. Any tips or things to watch out for (fees, etc). Anything I should do while there (besides the casinos)?

Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

There is a fee for parking at the Skyline. If you have a Resorts card, you can park across the street for a bit less. There are only 2 elevators for a lot of people, so be prepared to wait a while. If you are on a lower floor, the stairs might be faster.
There are laundry facilities for guests on the activities floor - I believe they are free.
In the area, the pier shops (the mall on the boardwalk) has a water show -like a mini Bellagio- and lots of restaurants/shops. There are outlet shops right in the area as well.
White House Subs is famous for their sandwiches- they are quite good! The Borgata has some delicious and reasonably-priced restaurants.
The shuttles are an inexpensive way to travel to the casinos, etc.

There is an indoor pool - nice as it is in a glass room but the outdoor hot tub is sort of an adventure IF it is open. The activity area where you walk thru to the pool ... they do have some decent adult activities - some used to involve wine.

Sales are the usual aggressive sales force with a more NJ/NY/PA push than most people can tolerate .... I have stopped going for the $$$ about 3+ years ago.... among the most "impossible" to get away or out of their grips.

Other than sales, the resort is fine.

There are 3 elevators as the freight is right with the 2 passengers elevators ... all are staff during weekend checkin/out dates with operators to improve "Flow".

That is nice! The last time we were there (it has been over a year), there were no operators, and we weren't allowed to use the 3rd one!!

Atlantic City Bar & Grill across the street..reasonable..cab fare to Borgota or Golden Nugget runs about $11.00 each way...Jitney (pick up across street from Skyline) is $2.50 & stops at every casino...not fancy but cheap! Chart House at Golden Nugget has great food & beautiful view of the marina. Very nice dinner can be had at the Knife & Fork...an old speak easy (cab). Irish Pub..cheap eats & cheap alcohol...good company. Pool usually isn't very crowded & yes last few times the hot tub was not in working order due to construction..should be finished by now. Units are not very fancy, but serve the purpose, staff very friendly. Make sure to take your wristband as a few times I have had to present it when coming back later in the evening. I have never been pressured into any sales talks. Enjoy!
