Buying a Deeded Week at Harborside

My question is this. I'm in the process of purchasing a deeded week/unit for June 22-29 week 25 from a 3rd party. It states on my GFD the Season is Gold Plus which wouldn't make sense for week 25. I does some with 95K Starpoints - which I don't quite understand (I know you can use those to trade and go to other resorts). Can someone make light of this for me?

Thanks so much!

I'm not sure what GFD stands for?

You can take a look at the StarOptions chart which is linked on the Starwood Owner Resources section:

http://tugbbs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=73314

A unit that has 95,700 staroptions (SOs) is a 2 bedroom lock off unit in Platinum season (weeks 18-34 & 47-49). Starwood has renamed the seasons at some resorts. It may be that this unit was originally sold in the Gold Plus season.

You may want to have this thread moved to the Starwood forum.

Welcome to TUG - for a summary of how Starwood works, see the FAQ at the top of the forum.

Have you asked the closing company for an estoppel letter from Starwood? Starwood calls this a "resale information sheet." It will document exactly what you are buying.

A few in S and VA, a single resort in NC, MD, PA, and UT, plus Jamaica and the Bahamas
Summer was originally called gold plus at HRA, winter was platinum, and the rest of the year was called silver.

They gave it an upgrade in name only (no increase in SO's) by renaming winter as Platinum plus, summer as platinum and the rest of the year as gold plus.

You didn't mention which phase but only phase one is fixed weeks. If it is in phase 2, it doesn't matter when it is deeded and you would want to make sure a good summer week is reserved, otherwise by the time transfer takes place it will be too late.
