Want to combine driving vac in early Nov with exchange, possibly few days in Savannah and on to HHI (Waterside?). Would we freeze/ get rained out/be bored this time of year? Senior couple, don't golf or do sports.

No, you won't freeze. Temps will be in the 70's maybe even low 80's. Can't predict if it will rain or not but highly unlikely there will be a week of rain. Hurricane season is pretty much over. Crowds are gone and lots of places offer discounts. You can do day trips to Beaufort, Charleston & Savannah. Depends on what you like to do.

I agree with the above post. Warning when driving to Charleston and Savannah on the secondary roads. Please Obey The Speed Limit.

Thanks! We went ahead and booked it.

So that's settled. Never been to that part of country.

Honestly, it might be perfect for you. Weather is great. Maybe a little chilly at night so bring a jacket or sweat shirt. Restaurants won't be crazy busy and you will have plenty of time to explore. HHI is nearly perfect weather wise except for about 90 days when it does get fairly cold and July/Aug when it is hot/humid/gross. I still enjoy it in July since you can be on the ocean, but April/May/Oct/Nov are probably the best.
