Hello- my husband and I are giving away our R Ranch ownership. Dues are paid until April 2015.

R-Ranch in the Mountains is an ideal weekend getaway near historic Dahlonega, about 70 miles from Atlanta. The property borders the Appalachian Trail and surrounded by the Chattahoochee National Forest. Owners can stay at the Ranch's many log cabins for $2.5/day up to 4 weeks per year or use one of the 140 RV camping sites. There are pet friendly cabins available as well as rustic cabins that you can adopt and have your own little place.

Owners enjoy free unlimited horseback riding in mountain trails, swimming in an olympic sized salt water pool, fishing, hiking, mini golf, tennis. The R-ranch Resort lodge is popular for weddings and many R Ranch social events. There are many social activities through the years which includes outdoor movies, ice cream socials, New Year's Eve party, the yearly R Ranch Rodeo, golf cart races and parade for the 4th of July. R-Ranch has stunning views of North Georgia Mountains and is a great place to bring your family and friends year round.

It is a deeded ownership, you will be part owner of prime mountain property. Check out the web site at www.rranchga.com.

Ownership is available for Free. The yearly dues after the deed is transfered is $1000.00 of which half is payable in April 1 and half on October 1. The yearly due is paid until April 1, 2015 and I am willing to pay the $150 deed transfer fee and the background check fee charged by R-Ranch.

What kind of ownership is this?

The place looks beautiful but is it a timeshare or a fractional ownership? Thanks for your generous offer.

Hi-
This is ownership in a 1000 acre Ranch. You can reserve cabins which have a bedroom, mini kitchen, bathroom, deck, and usually a loft with additional sleeping space for $2.50 per night. You have a certain number of nights per 6 months where you can reserve a cabin. I will have to double check, but I think it's 20 nights.

Or, you can use an RV site, or even keep an RV on one site for a year or more. You pay additional for keeping the RV on the same spot- usually $1000 per year, of you can store an RV and the Ranch will move it on and off sites for you.

Thank you for your interest. Oh, and if you like horses, this is the place to be. The Ranch owns horses and you and your guests can ride to your hearts content.

Best-

We live south of Atlanta so this would be perfect for us. If it is still available could you please explain more in detail how it all works.

Hi-
Oh, and if you like horses, this is the place to be. The Ranch owns horses and you and your guests can ride to your hearts content.
We used to have a ranch similar to the RRanch-model in San Diego. We bought in specifically for their Independent Rider program (like RRanch's Gold program). Once we completed their rider education courses and had passed the evaluation process, we were permitted to ride the ranch horses on trail by ourselves (w/out guide). It was simply heaven!

As it turned out, I fell in love with one of the ranch horses and bought him before the ranch closed its doors. Below are two shots of the same horse:
1) Before: The day he showed me, rather by accident, that he was a special gaited horse! (This is the day I fell in love.)
2) After: About 2 years later -- after transitioning nicely from "string horse" to "1 human horse." We've both lost some weight, gained some confidence and been good for one another.
