The points aren't in the Club, they are in one of the trusts/collections. You may or may not be paying extra for a Club membership. If you are in the Club, and you're not using the trust points, call DRI and tell them you want to stop paying your Club dues. The Club membership is not transferable even if you sell the trust points.
One of the reasons so many people are unhappy with DRI, is because they were talked into buying a small number of points. The owners of the points are paying the overhead of the Club membership, the overhead that DRI charges to manage the trust, as well as the MF's that the trust must pay to the resorts in the collection. In some cases it could be more than double what MF's would be if you owned a deeded week at one of the resorts in the collection.
