Glad this person was stopped from trying to access information from TUGGERS. I would think a professor at U C Berkeley would know how to correctly spell Berkeley in their user name. Denise you called this one correctly. Scammer all the way.

The spelling was the first tipoff, and he also spelled "Berkley" wrong in his registration. If you read his last paragraph, it is obvious that the guy is NOT a college professor. It's pretty funny that a guy that can't spell or write would try to pass himself off as a professor!

As a Berkeley alumnus, and a professor elsewhere, I'm surprised that anyone thought that "Cal professor" was a persona that would be viewed as trustworthy. We professors are an odd lot, and Berkeley is full of crazy hippies. ;-)

Not trustworthy or even that intelligent, just thought he would be able to spell Berkeley. I agree with your accessment and usually describe the place as Bizurkly.

I was actually looking forward to more of us being reported to Brian. MAybe a few more moderators "overstepping their bounds" and such. I think it was shaping up to be comic gold.

I am guessing that by "weary" he meant "wary," and by "outstanding" he meant "astounding." I am a high school teacher, so I have a lot of experience interpreting gibberish!

, I was "weary" just reading his locked thread. One of my biggest pet peeves are spelling errors and general word misuse. I wish I could send him a link to a dictionary. He was right about one thing though, you are an "outstanding" moderator. :cheer:
