Just received a card from Travel Exclusive requesting an appointment with us for a timeshare "rescue." Since we really do want out, is this a legitimate way to go?

Unless you are ready and willing to cough up about $3,500 to maybe (and only maybe) be "relieved" of your timeshare ownership, this is an appointment you definitely don't want to make, unless for the sheer entertainment if you have abundant free time on your hands.

You'd be better off giving it away for free than paying some parasite several thousand dollars for what may end up being nothing more than a Power of Attorney to try to sell your timeshare (none of which proceeds will go to you). Enough said. Just say, "no thank you".

Once you fork over an insane amount of $$ for a "title search," "listing fee," of some such, with an empty promise of buyers waiting in line to pay "top dollar"... You'll find that, funny, there isn't a buyer, they won't return your calls, and you're still on the hook for MF's.... only having given them a POA, you no longer have clear title. IOW... Run for the hills!

You really want to unload it? Research the threads here concerning buying and selling of Timeshares. Bottom line, there is no market - hence - the price is really depressed. In fact, most sales come with the seller paying most, if not all, of the closing.

If you don't beleive me, check out ebay...

Let us know what you have...maybe there is a buyer here.
