[2014] 288 Monarch Grand Vacation points - giving away!

We are GIVING AWAY our Monarch Grand Vacation timeshare points ownership. The "market price" for this plan, if purchased from the company, is over $20,000.
We are full owners and can provide proof of ownership. Quarterly fees of $330 are up to date. Be careful of other posts - we have found people try to sell/give away timeshare by hiding they own delinquent accounts.

288 points. Renews every 2 years, on even years. So this October, 2014, the 288 start over. 133 of the points are available now - enough for on full week in a one bedroom.
With 288, that's one week in a one-bedroom and one week in a two-bedroom to use at your choice during the 2 year period.

The resort locations are listed below. Plus, you can choose to join Interval International (not included in this deal) for $89/year and exchange your points for weeks all over the country and internationally.

We have been to all the resorts and they are all great! Terrific for couples and families. We moved to the east coast and can no longer visit them and decided to offer this ownership on here.

Why is everyone giving away points for free?

Hi - We were told when we purchased our MGV points that if we ever wanted "out" just stop paying the maintenance and terminate the contract. Yet, I'm seeing so many users give away their points for free ... why is that? Is this really the only way out - by someone else assuming them?

New to all of this ... would appreciate any insight/experience you have gained already.

Monarch was acquired by Diamond Resorts International (DRI) in 2012. DRI has been increasing the fees ever since, that is why owners are giving away their contracts. DRI has a deedback program, for $250 owners can surrender their deed and DRI will take it back and let them out of the contract.
