I'm hoping some of you very knowledgeable users can offer some advice.

I'm owner of 2bdrm EY at WKORVN, island view. In '15, I was able to book my home use year 12 mo out, and my '14 banked SO for add'l family members at 8 months out for a June trip to celebrate my son's HS graduation. At 8 mos, there was lots of inventory and actually got that room as OF. Awesome views!
Now, daughter graduates in '17 and have booked home use year. Now 8 months out, there is NO inventory in either North or South. Not elite, so no waitlist (which seems useless anyway). Any advice on how I might be able to find an available room, short of looking at website every day?

Thanks for the help.

Knowing that at 60-90 days inventory often opens up?

I was looking to book two units for the same date at WKORVN and checked online at 9 PM, and I was surprised there was no inventory. The next day I called early morning, and the reservationist confirmed there was no availability at any of the three resorts. I checked online today and found several Westin Nanea 2br resort view units and a 3br oceanfront available. I booked two units at this property instead. So I would keep checking online and maybe they will release more inventory.

Nanea is my timeshare. It's still being built, and will open in May 2017. So you will be staying in a brand new resort. It's next to WKORVN and WKORV. You can use the facilities of the other two Westin Kannapali Villas from what I understand.

I can't wait to go stay there... thought I'm planning to go in 2018 (having been in Maui this summer). And I'm looking for a 1 bedroom, which seems to be unavailable at least for the rest of 2017.

Are you trying to use your SOs for summer of 2017 or later in 2017? There are still 1-bdrm. villas available, but some of them are only available for check-in days other than Fri., Sat., or Sunday. Good luck with your search and enjoy your stay at Nanea! CJ
