Wow! We were able to raise over $5,500 in donations for a drawing for a 2 BR Lodge at BCWC Jun3 26-29th. I will now be taking 30 (YES, THIRTY) 9th-12th grade stduents to Louisville, KY for the 2015 VEX World Rbotics Cahmpionship! This one "raffle" earned us nearly half of our total trip cost! FYI: We requested a $10 donation for each ticket, but made the tickets 6 for $50 donation! I highly recommend this to anyone who is trying to raise funds!

I was involved with our Family Readiness Group while my hubbie deployed to Afghanistan. We donated a weekend at Big Cedar Wilderness Club for the National Guard state family group. I can't remember the acronym for it! They auctioned it off during the Christmas fund-raiser and it was a BIG hit.

I coach a high school robotics team and we just decided to donate again. This time to the school to help raise funds to take them to the VEX World Robotics Championship this spring in Louisville, KY. I'm trying to decide if it would be better to do an auction or to sell raffle tickets. Suggestions anyone?
Just thought I'd send a follow-up on the results of our donation. We raised over $5,500 for the June 26-29th 2BR lodge at Big Cedar Wilderness Club! That about half the cost of taking 30 high school student to the World Robotics Competition in Louisville, KY! We asked for DONATIONS of $10 for one entry or $50 for six entries in a drawing. It was a BIG hit and most students brought in about $200 in donations. Several were between $350 and $570! Needless to say, this reduced their out-of-pocket trip costs tremendously!
