Beachwoods OBX Outer Banks NC(formerly Barrier Island Station Kitty Hawk Wk 39 FREE

I am looking to give away my week at Beachwoods in Kitty Hawk NC. It is week 39, 2 bedroom, 3 bath lock off. Annual Maintenance Fees are $710. First usage would be 2016.

This resort is undergoing a MAJOR renovation. All of the units are being totally refurbished. New kitchens, new bathrooms, new furniture, etc. Gold Key Resorts, the new owner, is pumping $15,000,000 (yeah, 15 million) into this resort on top of the unit refurbishment. Upgrades to the pool, a new indoor water park, new clubhouse, new welcome center, etc. This is a huge investment!

Week is free, I'll pay the closing costs. There is however a special assessment IAO $1681 that is due this year, but can be paid over 3 years. I look for these units to be in demand when all the work is completed. This will be the best timeshare resort on the Outer Banks!

The first of 3 payments of $620 on the special assessment has been paid. I'm hearing that the outdoor pool is back open and is very nice. The unit we stayed in back in May was totally renovated and looked amazing! Maintenance fees are about half of what a decent hotel will cost.

This resort is being transformed into a Four Seasons Resort.

Week 39 is a great early Fall week on the Outer Banks. The crowds have dispersed. The ocean is still warm. No waiting at the restaurants.

I was there for a couple of nights prior to July 4th weekend. The Woodland Oasis Pool opened that Saturday. I took lots of pics the day before the opening. No one has a pool like this on the Outer Banks. While there's still a ways to go before everything is completed, it will be completed by the first use of this timeshare. That includes a brand new indoor water park. No resorts on the Outer Banks will have anything like what is planned for Beachwoods. Gold Key Resorts has proven themselves in Virginia Beach. There is going to be a beautiful Lakeside Lodge and Boardwalk overlooking Cypress Lake, as well as a Health and Wellness Center, Recreation Area, Welcome Center and more.

I'm really glad Gold Key Resorts had the vision to offer amenities that the off-season owners can enjoy during their stay at the resort. It will give these owners more value for their ownership. North Carolina's Outer Banks are beautiful any time of year.
