I own both RCI weeks and points and have both accounts. We have paid for the points account and receive a free weeks account. If we sell the points unit, what happens to the points remaining in the points account? When would we have until to use them, and how is RCI notified?

Since no one else has responded, I'll take a stab at this.
It depends... It depends on what you put in your sale-contract.
You can reserve a right to use or book a stay for your buyer.
You decide.

Do you mean Wyndham points deposited with RCI or do you mean an RCI points account?

If it is an RCI points account and you do not include the points with the sale of the unit, the points would stay in your account and would expire when they normally would expire. You do have to keep the points account current by paying the membership fee. Generally the points become available to borrow 12 months before use year. So if you are selling with 2016 points going to the new buyer, you would need to indicate on the transfer form that the 2015 points stay in your account and the 2016 points go to the new owner.

Thanks for the responses. This is a regular RCI points account.
