Interested in buying resale for Bonnet Creek

Hello all,
So I am a newbie and relatively inexperienced at this. I thought we had a deal via eBay, but it never worked out.

What I'd be interested in doing is buying resale at Bonnet Creek, ideally enough to get a 3br during spring / fall time for redemption.

At the risk of truly being a novice, would any of you be so kind as to point me in the right direction as to a reputable service for resales, what kind of amounts BC is getting for reales and, roughly, how many points I should be looking to acquire?

Many thanks,
James

The good news is that for spring/fall - unless you need a specific week - you shouldn't need ARP (Advance Reservation Priority) for Bonnet Creek. which means you can buy points at another Wyndham Resort.

Ebay and TUG marketplace are good places to start.

For early spring weeks 7-14 and late spring/summer weeks 23-33 you'll need 308k for one week in a 3 bdrm. You'll need less points during other times - 175k minimum for the whole week.

Three bedroom deluxe units at Bonnet Creek in prime season go for 308,000 points. Prime season is Weeks 7-14, 23-33, and 51-52.

High Season is Weeks 1-6, 20-22, 34-35, and 40-42. 3BR Deluxe units go for 231,000 in High Season.

Some real bargains in Value Season -- Weeks 15-19, 36-39, and 43-50. (That's right, Thanksgiving Week is in Value Season!). 3BR Deluxe units go for 175,000.

Hope this helps.

Because Thanksgiving is in value season, that week fills up quickly. You will want ARP if you plan to book Thanksgiving week, especially if you want more than a 1 BR.

I have never understood why Thanksgiving is value season at BC. It really doesn't make sense. It is a great time to go. I'll also add that you could consider Club Wyndham Access (CWA) as well, as there is significant CWA inventory at Bonnet Creek. CWA points are currently cheaper than Bonnet Creek and the maintenance fees are just marginally higher. CWA also gives you ARP at over 70 resorts, not just at Bonnet Creek. You can research the multiple threads on CWA to learn more about it.

My advice? But what you want at the resort you want... Not points somewhere else or in CWA. Get the product you want for the place you want BC with resale: There's nothing you can do to modify the purchase with Whyndham if you ever change your vacation habits or it doesn't work the way you want (due to trying unsuccessfully to trade). If you can't find a resale for the inventory you're hoping to find there's a reason: it's highly demanded and desirable... All the more reason to buy the specific thing you want rather than trying to trade into it... In some cases, this means going through a developer purchase.

NOT for Bonnett Creek or CWA points. Please, a Developer purchase? What a waste of money! ARP transfers with resale points. If your bid on eBay gets into the $3,000 range, it is still VASTY lower than a direct developer purchase of $40,000!
