We are going to Orange Lake on an RCI exchange. I was looking at the tube rentals for the lazy river and can find nothing for weekly rentals (I know that daily rentals are $9/tube). Are there any discounts for weekly rentals? TIA

I can't help you with the info on weekly rentals, but when we were there a few years ago, this was one of the reasons I didn't care for OL. They seem to nickel and dime their guests. We have been to other timeshares with lazy rivers and not one of them charged for the tubes. JMHO

That is pretty awful to charge. Will they let you bring in a Walmart tube?

It's been two years since our last visit, but they would give a big discount for the tubes if you went to the sales presentation. We said no. We weren't bothered for the rest of the week, or was it because we disconnected the phones? I'm not in the market for a new timeshare, so I just tell them we have a full schedule and no time for a sales presentation. As for the Walmart tubes, they don't allow any outside tubes in the lazy river, I guess you could try, people did when we were there, but when they were seen, they were told to remove the non resort tubes.

Lastly, if you are interested in Walmart, just make a right out of the resort, go to hiway 27, exit right and Walmart will be on the right less then a 1/4 mile on hiway 27 behind the roadside businesses and next to Lowes.

No... Orange Lakes DOES NOT ALLOW anyone to bring in their own tubes into the Lazy River. You can take them into the other pools. And like Dori said, they are probably the ONLY timeshare that charges you to use their tubes.

Do the math: they buy one at Publix (at the gate) for $5, take it to the resort, and charge $9 for each person to use it. If it is rented out 5 times a day, they've made $40 profit that day!
