Hi all,
We just got back from Harbor Ridge resort in Southwest Harbor, Maine. We LOVED Maine and loved the resort. :cheer: Thanks to all of you who convinced me we could indeed drive (after our Skybus tickets became worthless! ) . I'll post a full review of the resort as soon as I can.....Boy, it's hard to get used to the heat & humidity in NC after a week of gorgeous 70 degree weather in Maine!
Full review to come soon....
Deb

It is a wonderful place even in the off season. Glad it went well.

We would love to stay at Harbor Ridge, but somewhere I got the notion that the bedrooms of the 2 bedroom unit are not private, that one is an open loft. Is that true? I know my daughters-in-law would like prviacy. Thanks for the info. Glad you enjoyed your visit.

I'm so glad you made the drive AND thought it was worth it. Can't wait to read your review. I've wanted to stay there ever since joining II 12 years ago. Someday it will happen!!

I had read that as well, but the way the bedrooms are laid out, they really do have plenty of privacy. The units are tri-level, with the master bedroom on the top level and the second bedroom on the bottom level (with the living room, dining room and kitchen on the entry level). There's not a door on the master bedroom, but the way the stairs are angled you really can't see into the bedroom from below or vice versa. (It's not like it's an open loft where you can see into the bedroom from below. )The only problem I could see would be if someone had the tv on in the living room you MIGHT be able to hear it upstairs..but even then it would have to turned way up!

Deb is right. Even though the master bedroom doesn't have a door, it's plenty pvt especially with the 2nd bedroom on the lower level. It's like there worlds apart.
