I want to deposit my 2015 points into this credit pool before the end of the year. Does it make a difference when they are deposited? For example, if deposited today will they expire on December 6 2017 or December 31 2017? I don't want to wait until the last minute but sometimes I take vacation the week after Christmas.

They expire 3 years from the date that you put them in the credit pool. So if you deposit them on Dec 8, 2014, they will expire Dec 8, 2017. In order to use them, you would need a reservation for a stay that began on or before Dec 8, 2017.

I would do it December 30th. That gives you a one day cushion if they have any system issues.

If you credit pool now & later sell your deed in 2015, do you keep the points? Or do the credit-pooled points transfer to the new owner?

If it's your only contract, they transfer to the new owner. If you have other contracts I believe they stay with your member number.

Does that apply for a different use year?

I just completed a purchase from someone that has several Wyndham contracts. I was not sure if I would get the pool points he promised and instead I ended up getting twice as many as he said he had. The purchase was a CA contract with a April 1 to March 31 use year.

Not necessarily. Although points in the credit pool "seem" like they are equivalent, they are somehow still tagged to the contract they came from. For the OP - if you think you might be selling the contract, but not the credit pooled points, I would advise splitting the contract you're selling to a new member number, then have Wyndham move the credit pooled points back to your original member number. That way you can be sure they don't transfer when you sell the contract.

What if you deposit points into RCI & then sell your contract? Do the RCI points transfer to the new owner or do you keep them?

You keep them if you still have a contract in the account.
