I haven't seen this before, I wonder if anyone else has...

I checked for availability, and the day was crossed out, but a unit showed up. I thought I might not be able to book it, but I was. Has anyone seen this before? The day on the calendar was "white" with a cross through it, showing no availability - yet I was able to book a unit.

It was something I really needed to, so Christmas came a little early I guess.

I have seen that once or twice. I think it is similar to the cancel rebook woes. It seems that not all parts of the reservation system stay in absolute sync.

Same thing happened to me this a.m. I booked it and moved on. As long as the green button was there, consider it booked!

I've seen the opposite quite a bit, where the calendar shows green but a message states no units are available. I'm probably doing something wrong (like only Sun-Sun reservations is allowed for the period I'm reviewing).

You're not doing anything wrong. It's the reservation system. I see that all the time. I had a good laugh with a VC the other day, as we could both see availability, but it wasn't bookable. (2 nights that were together, so can't be booked as single nights; but more than 3 months out so can't be booked yet as 2 nights). My question was, how did 2 nights out of the week get orphaned. I think the only way it could happen is to book a 4-night conforming reservation that creates a 1-night orphan at one end and the 2-niter at the front. The single night orphan can be booked, but the doublet can't.

In this way it would even be possible to have a very desirable weekend only reservation be blocked from being booked (if someone takes the Sun-Thursday reservation, orphans a Thursday night from a Fri-Fri week.)
