Wow, and I had thought that Sean had a great reputation on TUG, but I guess that was based on past experience then. I even told him as much that he had a great reputation on TUG. Maybe I confused him another ebayer.

In any case, my experience has been absolutely pathetic. I was "purchasing" some Shell points that came with a $250 gift card. Shell transfers are pretty straightforward. 6 months later, no transfer and no substantive responses to my request for status. Finally I sent him a message that I am losing my patience. His response which I did not particularly appreciate: "Ok would you like a refund of the $0 you paid us and to cancel the deal?". We had a few exchanges, but other than that sarcastic remark, nothing was particularly unprofessional.

I am too far along in my use year to bank the current year's points that accompanied the transfer, so I am in the process of trying to terminate the transfer with him, along with another transfer I had started a couple months ago. He says he will cancel them, but I am wanting a cancellation agreement or return of the original notarized documents or something that can ensure that I don't get okie doked in the future and see these points in my account.

In sum, I will not be bidding on any of his auctions in the future. So now it's pretty much going to be only timesharepro (and related aliases), discounttimeshares (think used to be CJ Timeshares), and benjamintimeshares for me.

I have a good experience with Sean. I bought a Marriott platinum 2 bedroom from Sean in late August. Request for estoppel letter was sent to me within a day. The transfer agent is Annette from Global Transfer who sent me text messages along the way. ROFR was obtained quickly, recording was done by mid September, and I received message from Global transfer and email from Marriott acknowledged transfer of deed from previous owner to me a few days ago. So, purchase to deed transfer took just a little bit over 1 month.
I purchased another Marriott from Sean in 11/2013 and that timeshare was closed by 2/2014

When he has to do nothing-- it goes well. When he has to answer questions or perform -- it does not.

I purchased a timeshare on eBay from him in June. Elizabeth from Global Transfer is the transfer agent. It still has not transferred. Communication is terrible. Everytime I call Elizabeth, they always say she's on the phone. She refuses to call me back; only responds via email. I'm very frustrated.

Again, as I have in the past, I applaud Sean and Jaime at V-Equity

I dropped the ball with the estoppel. Even if I trust this seller, it was my duty to protect my interest and I should have requested it. My due diligence got dropped. At this point, I don't know if it was the closing company or SPM Resorts that should be to blame. The front desk manager that assisted me with getting my guests accommodations indicated that this is not a unique situation with new ownerships in RCI Points and the first year of use. That's not good. I hope that there will be someone to assign the responsibility to for my guests having no accommodations when they arrived. Right now my biggest thing is to get my 2015 points and have the opportunity to reserve my 2016 week. Then, I will work on attempting to recoup that $1800 if I can.

Everything has played out to the final end as of this past weekend. Sean and Jaime made good on everything they said that they would do to assist with an extremely bad situation. I am "whole" at this point. It was rough going for several weeks and required a lot of communications with many folks. Even an RCI Points Specialist got involved to help sort things out.

In hindsight, I can see that I failed in following up on some things in my due diligence and admitted the same to Sean. He thanked me and praised me on my reflection on the things that transpired, and assured me that he and Jaime would assist me as best they could. The ownership was ultimately removed from RCI Points and I now have a fixed week with confirmed use in 2016. I received compensation for the 2015 maintenance fee that I paid, as well as received the 2015 RCI Points. This helped greatly to offset the $1800 I paid to SPM Resorts to place my renters in a unit.

My experiences with Sean and V-Equity have always had positive outcomes.
