We have found many great places to eat while in HHI but yet to find a good Mexican place. Any suggestions? If not does anyone know where to find a great sangria?

Santa Fe Cafe is wonderful Southwestern/Mexican food. The queso fundido and the mixed appetizers are great!

My sister is in HHI now and every year her family eats at MI TIERRA'S at least a half a dozen times during their two week vacation. They really enjoy Mexican! It is worth a try.

Fiesta Fresh, although basically a fast food place, was last month voted by readers of the Island Packet (the island's daily newspaper) as best Mexican restaurant on the island. There are two locations - one on the island and one in Bluffton.

I have been underwhelmed at all, but my friend who I come with loves loves the santa fe cafe.

I am partial to guiseppes pizza and ruan thai.

I can vouch for Mi Tierra and Santa Fe, although Santa Fe is mostly upscale (e.g., $30 for Fajitas, $23 for range chicken) Southwestern, not Mexican.

Stay away from Aunt Chilada's.

ok so how about Indian?

We have added Indian food to our favorite dining out food over the last two years. We have some great local ones here in the suburbs of Philly. Would there happen to be a good one in HHI? Don't get me wrong we have lots of great favorite places to eat while at HHI over the years but it is nice to add some new ones to change things up. Thank you.

Have you tried Tapas? The restaurant recently moved to the Port Royale Plaza near Bi-Lo. The food is exceptional.
