We are all getting ready and packed up for Ko Olina! have a 2BR first week and a 1BR the second week. On the arrival email asking for our request, I asked for a High floor and not to be looking square into the park lot! Actually got an email back stating that as an "Exchange" I will most likely be below the 5th floor as the views are reserved for owners at Ko Olina. I believe that the rooms start on floor 4 so I guess I will be looking directly into the parking lot. Only good thing is the first week is a non-lock off 2BR which I believe will be in the new building and I think the bad views are a bit better in that building.

I did get a call yesterday concerning the switch that will have to be made from week 1 to week 2. She told me they will come and pick up my bags and any perishable goods from the frig at the end of week 1. The will store/refrigerate my stuff until the next room is available. Sounds like that will work well. We were planning to just shop for week 1 then redo it for week 2. Sounds like we don’t have to do that. She told me they will bring bins to put our stuff in. She even said we can leave things on hangers and they will just move them over like that.

Excited about the trip, guess we will have to sit at the bar for a view of the sunset rather than our balcony!!:cheer:

We love Ko Olina. Put me in a janitors closet and I would still enjoy my time there! Have fun!

Ko Olina handles the move quite efficiently. We moved from 5 floor Moana to 7 floor Naia the second week. We did pack up rather than have them ferry stuff from the closet.

We were exchangers and had a 3 bedroom ocean view in Moana, with a strip of ocean visible above the palms. It was very nice though. Island view 2 bedroom in Naia included a portion of the last lagoon, and the marina and marina entrance (as well as the oil tanks in the background) but was high enough that it actually was not bad.

Good luck. It is a great resort!

Thanks for the information. I still keep checking II for another 2BR for the second week. I check II about every hour! I grabed the first week 2 BR just 3 weeks ago and did a re-exchange from the 1BR that came through September of last year. Had a shot at a 2BR in Maui last wek, but you lose a day in travel and inter island airfare would have been $600 for our family of 3.

I had heard that some of the mountain views in the new tower view the Marina and that would not be bad at all.

Moana BLDG Best for Mountain views

Wvacations:

If you do not own at Ko-olina and you are exchanging to a mountain view, I recommend requesting the Moana bldg. The mountain views all look out over the Ko-olina golf course and have a mountain view. There is virtually no chance of an ocean view from that building but you will not be stuck looking at a parking lot either.

Good Luck!

Thanks, I will request that for the 2nd week. I think the first week is in the new building as it is a Non-Lockoff. I think the MV rooms there are not too bad. I will definately ask for Moana for the second week in the 1BR.
