We will be in Williamsburg in May. Are there any discounts for buying tickets to the attractions in advance, or do the resorts (We are staying at Greensprings) give discount coupons? Any help in planning would be appreciated. We don't care about theme parks, just historical attractions. No children will be accompanying us.

Thank you for your help.

You don't need to get in advance. They will be available at various visiters centers. We got discounted 'combo tix' for all 3 historical sites when we arrived at the resort from the prize desk. You will definitely want to see W'msburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. Seems to me there were multiple day entrances for any/all. Get the 'what to do this week' and map out when you want to be where. Go to www.colonialwilliamsburg.com to do a little advance trip planning.

May is beautiful there!

If you're a teacher, they have great discounts for educators. Bring your ID card.

I am a retired teacher and a substitute - will that qualify? I don't know what to bring for ID, though.

Thanks for this tip!

Bring any proof that you are an educator and you get 50% off at Colonial Williamsburg (for you only...not for spouse).
