Hi Tuggers! I just exchanged into RCI for a week in April at Brewster Green. Is Easter week too! Still get excited making exchanges! This will be a good time for family reunion! I used my Dikhololo week for this, I still get good trades with it!
Just have to get past the hassle with Dikhololo depositing my week! I am happy tonight!

Congratulations. Good score. If you don't mind revealing this info, how many TPU's did RCI require from you for this particular exchange?

April can be cold

Brewster Green is very nice, but be sure to bring a coat. April on Cape Cod can be very cold, and we have had snow (and alot of it) on April 1st! You will be using the heat! Also, many places will not yet be open, especially if you want to visit Provincetown. We really don't start with all the stores, restaurants etc being open until Memorial Day weekend. Still an excellent exchange to a very nice resortr.

17 TPU, other weeks were a few points less, being Easter week bumped it up. I took the 2 bedroom, sleeps 6. 3 bedroom was 18 TPU Slept 6 also, so I went for less TPU. Using mostly to visit family.

Love Brewster Green

We stayed there several years ago. We loved the resort and felt it is a great location for whatever you want to do on The Cape. We, too, were there prior to the beginning of the season and some things were closed. But on the positive side, it was before the crowds and heavy traffic.

How bad are the crowds? How bad is the traffic? I'm heading to Brewster Green in a few weeks (first visit to Cape Cod.) I'm hoping it's not as bad as Panama City Beach during spring break!

Thanks, We stayed on the Cape last April too in Hyannis, at Cape Winds. We had a family wedding on south shore, was nice to have our own place to stay. Originally from Boston so we are used to the weather and the Cape is far less crowded off season!

Hi Freein2010, Once you get past the bridge, traffic should move quickly, Brewster is a nice place to stay on the Cape. Never stayed at Brewster Green before, but have stayed in Brewster. Have a great time, all the reviews I have read have been positive. Let me know how it goes for you when you return! Safe travels!

Thanks! I'll be arriving on a Saturday... is there a time frame I should try to avoid? I'm stopping in CT to visit family (and break up the 8 hr drive) so if traffic is better in late afternoon or early evening I can stay in CT a few hours.

I would say traffic is better later in the day, morning is worse, Friday night is terrible going down, Sunday all day is bad coming off the Cape. Once you get there, stay as long as you can!

Hi Terry, if you are going out for dinner try Chapins in Dennis. Great fish meals and one of the best places around for Fish and Chips.

October!!

We have a week at Brewster Green in October. Been researching and it looks like things start to wind down after the Columbus Day weekend, but there will still be lots to enjoy. Our week starts that Friday, but we won't arrive til Saturday evening as we're detouring to Kings Point NY for DH's 50th class reunion. We have friends joining us at Brewster Green-they may be arriving ahead of us. Anyone know if Brewster Green will require a guest certificate for them if they are there the day before us?

BG will definitely want some form of notice, well in advance and almost certainly in writing, if someone who is not a BG owner and whose name is not the name on the exchange reservation appears on scene first, attempting to check-in before the actual reservation holder. Whether or not BG would also actually require a "guest certificate" from the exchange company in this instance I don't know, but that question can surely be best answered in a single phone call directly to BG itself, no?

Good score. Certainly a much better time of year than April. All weeks at BG are "Friday to Friday" btw, so you really had no choice in that particular matter.

Brewster Green (two weeks).
Brewster Green

We stayed at BG this past May…the week before Mother's Day. Quite a few restaurants weren't opening until the Mother's Day weekend. A number of shops weren't open either, particularly antique shops and art galleries. But enough were to keep us busy. The weather was quite cool. Best food was had at The Brewster Fish House. Their chowder is amazing!

We had a two bedroom two bath unit all on one level. Nothing fancy but quite comfortable and a good location for visiting various areas of the Cape.

Hope you enjoy your stay!
