Well, I received my Greensprings 2009 M/F statement in the mail today. This years increase was a measly 26.5% ! Now, when you add it to last years 16.17% increase, that adds up to a whopping 42.67% in just two years!!! They try to blame it on the dramatic increase in oil based products for much of the increase, but it's still excessive. I understand that my options are limited, (outside of selling). I have to wonder how many Greensprings owners have experienced a 46.67% or better increase in income over the last 2 years? I know that I, for one, HAVE NOT

GS Maintenance Fee Increase

Did you notice the management fee increased about 50%?? What will it be next year if oil prices continue to fall? Their excuse is shallow, but what can we do? The board is probably dominated by the developer/management team.

It's not probably.

It is totally controlled by Diamond.

There is no option. There is nothing we can do. Pay or sell.

Personally, I love the newly renovated units and am willing to pay for them - for now. This will have to be the last big MF increase.

Ulterior Motive?

Could the goal be to drive fixed week owners to dump their units or deed them back to Diamond so they can then resell these units into their vacation club? Are fixed week owners subsidizing club members by paying to gold plate the common amenities? Did maintenance fees for club members go up 26%?
