Anyone planning to visit Colonial Williamsburg this year, there is a Black Friday special until 12/1 to purchase annual passes buy one get one free. Pass starts day of purchase and s good for a year. For our family of 4 (2 adults/2 kids) is was less than purchasing single day tickets.

What site do you purchase these at? We are planning on going there this year...

I like Governor's Green, but if you are not a Wyndham owner you may need to rent from a Platinum points owner to get a good time at a reasonable price.

None of the Williamsburg properties are particularly difficult to trade into. A one bedroom should trade into any 2 br Williamsburg. My kids like Governor's green too. Through II only Sunday check in's are available. They do 3-4 month at a time bulk.
Manor Club is very nice too.

Yes, but I sort of doubt that the planned trip will be for January. [response to a deleted post]

Williamburg is an easy trade even in the summer which would cost substantially more points. As long as you book summer Williamsburg 4-6 months in advance you shouldn't have any problems. Shoulder season can be booked 1-4 months in advance and an AC or any kind of bonus week should get an off season week. Pretty much anything other than summer can usually be rented for less than most owners pay for MF's and even in summer it is difficult to make any profit renting unless you have MF's less than $600 for a 2 br.
